Baker Park Tower Star Sign & Tower Marker

The Joseph Dill Baker Memorial Carillon tower is located at Baker Park in the downtown section of Frederick, Maryland, which was erected in memory of Dill (who was a local resident) in 1941.

For some time, the tower has had a lighted star sign, usually used for the winter holiday season.  Since this was photographed in September, it is still in place on top of the stone Carillon tower.

Old Coca-Cola Sign at Brownie's Garage- Walkersville, Maryland

Here is a Coca-Cola (circa 1970s) sign at Brownie's Auto Garage in Walkersville, Maryland (with the company's signature spencerian script and Dynamic Ribbon logo).  Not only does it advertise Coca-Cola, it also advertises Brownie's Auto Garage.

There were many Coke signs that local businesses used from coast-to-coast from the 1970s to the 1980s.  Unfortunately, many of these signs have disappeared in recent years.
